Istanbul
Istanbul is located on the edge of two continents between Asia and Europe which giving variety of histories, cultures, religions, architectural and cuisine.Istanbul hot?non friendly Muslim country?arabic country?awww that just a myth story and the truth is when you step your first foot just outside from the airport you'll find turkish is turkish, not arabic...nice people everywhere...4 seasons in one year, cold af 0 to 8 degree celcius at my time and yah its cosmopolitan city.I'm really sure you will be impressed with that but...unfortunately one thing, most of their people cant speak or even uunderstand English so be good in making your own hand signal.😄

Cigarettes?alcoholic beverages?yah they have it wherever they are at anytime includes young, old woman and everyone are fine with that.Me as a typical Malaysian i'm quite shock to see a woman with headscarf smoking anywhere😅 eventhough their culture just okay..thats usual.Thats the uniqueness of the city which suitable for western people and muslim people especially Malaysian.
***for smokers : cigarettes much cheap there example Dunhill = 8 ₺ lira equivalent to RM 8 only so no need to struggle yourself bringing your own tobacco from hometown.
Bosphorus Strait..behind of me is Asia part while Europe my opposite. Source:My phone |
We already know Istanbul is the place between Europe and Asia but what is their boundary?Bosphorus Strait is the answer. This experience really worth it I guaranteed to you cuz the scenery will make you fall in love with Istanbul with picturesque buildings either in Europe or Asia side.

Built in 537 AD the building still strong and architectural never been fade on anyone eyes especially for art persons. In the beginning built for church under Great Byzantine Empire. It is one of the greatest church at that time until being change to mosque for 500 hundred years under Ottoman Empire. Now it been a museum.
This show the history of Christianity and Islam have been greatly landed in this building.1482 years building with such magical histories. Source:My phone |
After enjoying your cruise from Bosphorus, lets have a shopping at Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered market in the world with 4000 shops.Wow!But before that please love your money before enjoying buying stuffs or souvenirs there. There are several reminder I could remind you before shopping there.
- Dont shopping at outside of the bazaar, its much expensive than inside.Just relax cool, even you see the stuff so damn beautiful dont worry factory produced thousands of them.Explore the bazaar.
- Dont believe the sellers words in promoting their stuffs such as "there is no other shop selling this item" "this is the ancient one" yah this words always use by them.Just bullshit in fact ancient stuffs cant be sold, already been in national or world protect.
- If the seller angry or scold at you after you dont want to buy their item, dont be too soft stay on your opinion and leave him
- If you want to bargain just bargain 50% of the price offered from the seller.Like me I would start 40% of the price. If in case want to increase the price, make it maximum below 50% otherwise leave the shop. There are other shops are cheaper with same stuff same quality.
- Dont get to any photography offer by people surrounding otherwise they will charge you money for the photo they printed without your acknowledgement.
This gate is the best gate to enter the Bazaar if you from cruise jetty. Source:My phone |

This seller guy bring some inspiration to me and I learn something from him.Because of what?I'm impressed with him cuz he can speaks 8 languages which are Indonesian,France,Turkish,Russian,Bulgarian,Spanish,Arabic and English just learn them by dealing with his daily customers around the world. Then he is 18 years old(2018) and what?same age with me?!I cant believe that but yeah thats the reality. He and his father already manage 5 shops in Grand Bazaar which are 3 souvenir shops,1 photo shop and 1 carpet mat shop. With his negotiation skill and way he talk really far away from his real age.Sometimes its true that people said, sometimes people who do not go to school also got a bright future and maybe better than degree graduates.

This photo service you have to find the best price throughout the bazaar.I have met with price 60 lira and last I found 10 lira service price with same service.Good bargain skill provided here.
