Netball is a ball sport played by two teams of seven players. Its development, derived from early versions of basketball, began in England in the 1890s. By 1960, international playing rules had been standardised for the game, and the International Federation of Netball and Women's Basketball (later renamed the International Netball Federation (INF)) was formed. As of 2019, the INF comprises more than 70 national teams organized into five global regions.

Netball court position divided into 2 teams which is defender and attacker. So the defender group will meet the attacker of the other group,and the attacker group will meet the other of the defender group.

 Diffender consist of :- GD,GK,WD
  Attacker consist of :- GS,GA,WA,C

Playing positions and their roles on the court

There are seven playing positions in a team. Each has an important role to play for their team:
Goal Shooter To score goals and to work in and around the circle with the GA
Goal AttackTo feed and work with GS and to score goals
Wing AttackTo feed the circle players giving them shooting opportunities
CentreTo take the centre pass and to link the defence and the attack
Wing DefenceTo look for interceptions and prevent the WA from feeding the circle
Goal Defence To win the ball and reduce the effectiveness of the GA
Goal Keeper To work with the GD and to prevent the GA/GS from scoring goals
